Get a taste of Kickin’ It Clean with this Sample One Day Plan:
Breakfast: Berry Green Smoothie (see recipe below)
Snack: 1 banana, split lengthwise, with almond butter spread in the middle
Lunch: Lemony Romaine Salad (see recipe below)
Snack: 1 cup sliced cucumbers and carrot sticks with hummus
Dinner: Protein Packed Quinoa (see recipe below)
Berry Green Smoothie
1 cup of chopped spinach
1 apple, chopped
1 cup frozen blueberries
2 cups coconut water
Add ice cubes for frostier drink. Makes 16 oz.
Blend and drink up!
Lemony Romaine Salad
2 cups romaine lettuce, tear into pieces.
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/4 cup fresh basil
¼ cup chopped onions
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup lemon juice
Place lettuce in large salad bowl with fresh herbs and onions. In separate bowl,whisk
together dressing ingredients. Pour over salad and mix together well.
Protein Packed Quinoa
1/2 cup cooked quinoa
1 cup of chopped kale (remove stems)
1/2 cup cooked navy beans (use 15 oz. can, rinse)
1 chopped medium tomato
Dressing: 1 Tbsp. olive oil and a pinch of sea salt and fresh ground pepper
Combine ingredients in a bowl and serve nice and warm.
