Day 7: Fresh Start Detox Project

Below is a guest post from Susan Hall, an essential oil queen and expert. AND  you can visit her at to read about her experiences with dōTERRA essential oils.

Congratulations to those of you on the Fresh Start Detox Project!

As part of the detox box you received essential oils~ grapefruit and rosemary.  Essential oils are the regenerating, oxygenating, and immune defense properties of plants .  Essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.  Grapefruit is cold pressed from the rind, and rosemary is steam distilled from flowering plants.

Used to treat depression, fatigue and liver disorders, grapefruit essential oil may also have a cleansing effect on the kidneys, pulling heavy toxins from the body.

Rosemary, once regarded as sacred by many civilizations, is known for its pain-relieving properties and may stimulate the immune system.  I invite you to experiment with the oils: massage rosemary into your scalp, or dilute 1 drop of either oil in 1 teaspoon honey.

These oils were chosen for their specific properties and how the oils can affect the body. During a detox, your skin is the largest organ, so it is extremely important to make sure to nourish the largest organ with natural products.

Happy oiling!

I don’t know too much about oils, but I am really enjoying them. I could smell the grapefruit over and over! yum!

I love the Grapefruit oil too! It is uplifting and FRESH! The pita sandwich was fantastic, I actually LOVED Day 6!! It was nice to have that on a Saturday, since my family was home and eating other foods, I was not tempted because it was so filling! Thanks!
